Postdoc position in the quantum cryptography project

We are looking for a highly motivated candidate for joining our quantum cryptography team currently working on two recently started projects. One of the projects deals with development and optimization of compact components for integrating free-space quantum key distribution into existing security infrastructures over short distances, e.g. within a data center. Efficiency, robustness and resistance of the components to so-called side channel attacks will be investigated and improved. Within the other project, a quantum key distribution module has to be developed which shall be integrated into a nanosatellite (CubeSat) with the long-term goal of performing key exchange between space and ground.
Experience in the following subjects is especially favorable:
- Optics (discrete and integrated)
- High-speed electronics, FPGA
